Tuition
Tuition covers music lessons and permission to record any part of each violin lesson or fiddle lesson you receive for your private use. Mp3 audio files of material you are learning is also available for free at your request. The first music lesson you invest in is a flat $40 (USD) for up to one hour. Afterwards, your options are: $30 per 30 minute music lesson $45 per 45 minute music lesson $60 per 60 minute music lesson $75 per 75 minute music lesson $90 per 90 minute music lesson -A travel charge of $4 per 20 miles (round trip) is added to in-person lessons at your residence, rounded up to the nearest dollar amount. |
Tuition Payment Options
1) Cash is accepted for in-person lessons.
2) Zelle: If you have Zelle, you can pay tuition through it using this email - emeraldeclipse@gmail.com
3) Check or Money Order: Personal checks are accepted. If not given in-person, please reach out to Julian for his contact info.
4) PayPal: You can send tuition through PayPal using this email - jll@greenstringmusiclessons.com
When paying this way, 4% is added to the tuition to account for the fee PayPal takes out.
You may request an invoice for tuition paid this way if you wish, in which case there will be a link in the email you receive which takes you to a page that will give you the option to use either a credit card, your PayPal account, or other options which are available dependent on your location.
5) Online Bill Pay: Your bank account should have an ‘online bill pay’ feature. You can pay in this way by adding your music teacher’s name and address (contact Julian for this info). Your bank will send a check out on the scheduled date.
Important Note - You do NOT need to give your music teacher your bank account information to use this payment method.
Missed Lessons
When possible, please give 24 hour notice on any lesson you have to cancel or reschedule.
Miscellaneous Music Lesson Policies
Privacy Policy: Your privacy is of the utmost importance. The only information needed to take music lessons is your full name, email address, and Microsoft Teams handle (if applicable). None of this information will be sold to third parties or compromised in any way.
Technical Difficulties: Should a technical difficulty arise, time spent fixing it does not count towards tuition.
Chatting: Time spent talking about topics unrelated to the music lesson doesn't add to your tuition.
Lesson Materials: Any requested sheet music, scales, or exercises may be provided as a PDF via email or over Microsoft Teams chat for free. If learning from a specific book, please purchase a copy for yourself.
Exactly what you will need in preparation for lessons will depend on which type of music you are studying as well as what skill level you are at, so any further details should be discussed with Julian prior to starting lessons.
